HLAC - Lifelong Wellness Application Paper
1. What did you learn about “lifelong wellness” from taking this activity class?
Lifelong wellness is achieved by a healthy balance of physical, mental, and social health. This class taught me the importance of maintaining healthy physical exercise and eating routines. It also gave me ideas on how to maintain these practices long term thus achieving “lifelong wellness.” After taking the course I would define lifelong wellness simply as a healthy balance that results in an overall feeling of wellness throughout your lifetime.
2. How would you apply this information to your life?
This class taught me how to set goals for myself in order to achieve a healthy lifestyle. We learned about different types of exercise and muscle groups that are pertinent to bettering our health routines. Finally, this class taught how to use structure to achieve a sense of lifelong wellness.
3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in your life and why?
My intention is to exercise throughout life for the many physical and mental health benefits. I have always had exercise as a goal; however this class helped me create the structure needed to make it a lifestyle. This class has helped me incorporate a more develop exercise techniques into my daily routine. I know that exercise will help keep my body healthy and strong, and my future is brighter with good health on my side.
4. General ideas for improving this course?
I feel that this class overall was well put together. I loved the instructor and everything she has taught me. She has a lot of energy and she is able to make it contagious, even the weaker, I believe was able to perform well in this class. I do not have any suggestions to make this course better. I enjoyed it.
