Lifelong Wellness Application Paper
1. What did you learn about “lifelong wellness” from taking this activity class?
I took this class because I wanted to improve my quality of life by being healthier.
I realized that when I signed the contract helped me being more motivated to actually
do the routine I have had in place. This class was so helpful because taught me the
more technical aspects of the body that I didn't know such as where my BMI stands and
what that means for my health classification. It helped me also to set goal to be able to achieve
them in a practical way.
2. How would you apply this information to your life?
I did apply this important concepts by teaching to the people around me and mostly my daughter.
I think that keeping a healthy life can help and all people around to be happier.
I did this in hope that I would see results in a short term. Change does take time and my goal
is to continue to be physically active and to get people in my life
on board with me so that there are more people who I can associate healthy lifestyles with.
3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in your life and why?
I would like to work out between 2 and 4 times per week. Additionally I would like to walk to my
places the most I can in my lifetime. Being physically active is important for me
because I am setting an example to my future generations. I would like also keep my figure as in shape
as I am right now in college, and have a good health status through of my life.
4. General ideas for improving this course?
I like this course it is very convenient for me; the fact that everything is a work at your own pace is
a good for my ever-busy lifestyle. I would have loved some hands on interaction with
other students in the class. I have been always interested in healthy diet and exercise educating myself in health and nutrition for a few years and there are
many options, so the material presented in class give a good insight in on how to better my life style.
